Food to the Vulnerable

We have partnered with local and international organizations to play a significant part in impacting the lives of over 2 million people in 96 Upazilas as a part of the Vulnerable Group Development (VGD) project. The VGD project which is part of the government’s safety net program provides about 30 KG of rice for the families of extreme poor women and other at-risk groups

Helping Women and Children

Researchers from WFP and icddr.b found that our projects have successfully reduced anaemia by 4.8% and another survey by BRAC found that 32% of consumers had perceived immediate health benefits. We have targeted women working in the massive garments sector of our country to ensure they have proper nutrition and target approximately 19,000+ school children stay in school through the ‘hot school meal program.’

Affordable Technology

In addition, we have also invested in facilities and a state-of-the-art research lab to further the cause and to help make our agri technology and innovations affordable to the masses.

Community Development

In addition to our central cause of improving nutrition in Bangladesh, we are also playing a vital role in uplifting the communities in which we operate. The founder has built various educational institutions, orphanages, and mosques in Narayanganj, Manikganj, Narayanganj etc and is involved in various charitable activities through the Mohammad Ali Chowdhury and Mostafa Ali Chowdhury Trust.

In light of the global Covid-19 pandemic, we state with pride that no employee was laid off due to the crisis and the subsequent economic slowdown, nor did we enforce any salary reductions. We responded by adjusting our production levels and we ensured the safe return of all our employees to work.
